Recently we got the chance to interview Philly’s own Dannie Phantom . The musically inclined producer/emcee sat down with us to talk about how he got into the game, how Dope Music Group got its start, his debut mix-album "Life On Saturn" and his upcoming project Infinity. Just last month he released "Snickers EP", hosted by DJ SYLO. Dannie was raised in a family filled with musicians and music lovers. He didn’t really start getting into Hip-Hop until he heard the Clipse’s debut album, “Lord Willin,’” and his production career has taken off since then. He currently runs a creative collective known as the Dope Music Group where he collaborates and works with fellow musicians. His ability to produce in a variety of genres (and produce quality tracks within these genres) definitely makes him a threat as a producer. As a rapper, Mr. Phantom feels that the content of his subject matter is what separates him from the other emcees out right now. Look out for his next project Infinity which is dropping 10/10/10. Dannie describes this project as a “soulful-synth” that is going to go places that people have been afraid to travel to and address. We're definitely looking forward to this one.
And check out one of our favorite Dannie Phantom tracks "Get Em High"!!
