'Mad Decent Block Party Philadelphia' Review

By:Eric B.
This past Saturday, Mad Decent hosted the biggest block party in Philly this summer. People from all over the city gathered for good food, great music, and insane DJ sets from the best in Philly. What I loved most about this event was the diversity throughout its attendees. People of all ages, races, and backgrounds were all gathered here to have a good time, (No flash mobs occurred, which is also a plus).

One of the highlights of the event was Diplo’s set. He was spinning just about every genre under the sun, from Electronica to Jazz-Hop, and combined his tracks so well that the crowd just could not stop dancing. In spite of all the big performances and endless amounts of crowd surfing, I still felt like I was at a regular block party around the way. People were shooting hoops, sitting on stoops, and perched up in their windows. There was a little bit of something for everyone, and that's what I loved about the Mad Decent Block Party.
